The Growatt MOD 3-15KTL3-HU is a three-phase hybrid inverter series designed for residential and small commercial solar installations. It delivers a power range of 3kW to 15kW and combines solar power conversion with high-voltage battery storage management in one compact unit.
The inverter features 2 or 3 Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) trackers (depending on the model), each supporting a maximum input current of 20A. It supports a maximum PV power of up to 30,000W and a wide MPPT voltage range of 140V–1000V, optimizing energy harvest from complex rooftops with multiple orientations.
This series is battery-ready, compatible with Growatt’s APX high-voltage battery range (420V–980V). It offers an integrated backup function that switches to battery power in milliseconds during a grid outage, providing up to 16.5kVA of backup power for up to 10 minutes, no external backup box required. The inverter achieves a maximum efficiency of 98.6% and a European efficiency of 98.1%.
It includes Type II Surge Protection Devices (SPD) on both the DC and AC sides, optional AFCI arc-fault detection, and an IP66-rated enclosure for outdoor installation. The unit uses natural convection cooling for silent, maintenance-free operation and weighs approximately 30kg for the 15kW model.
